Our History

Since our start in 1985, Magna-Dry has provided a unique dry-cleaning process for all types of carpets, upholstery, and fine rugs.We have learned that having a superior cleaning method, a deep commitment to customer service, and the most professional and trained staff will produce the most pleasant cleaning experience for you, our customer.

The Lafayette area Magna-Dry facility began operations in 1985 in the home of owner/operator Rob Kochon & his wife Carol. By 1996, Magna-Dry had expanded its services to include cleaning fine/oriental rugs, water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, and carpet & upholstery cleaning.

Over the years, Magna-Dry has provided cleaning and restoration services to a broad range of the population of Tippecanoe and surrounding counties, from the largest, most opulent homes to Purdue campus apartments, from hospitals and nursing homes to interiors of RVs and airplanes!

Magna-Dry’s motto continues to be “The most pleasant cleaning experience you’ll ever have,” which starts with the initial phone call from a customer, continues through the cleaning process, and ends with a follow-up phone call to ensure the customer is delighted.
